Early Life and Career
Serraiocco is a native of the Province of Pescara, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Born in 1990, she showed early interest in dance and acting. She moved from Pescara to Rome in 2010 to attend the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografiahe Italian National Film School.
After landing a small role in a single episode an Italian crime drama, Serraiocco got the lead in the Italian film Salvo in 2013. The role earned her the award for Best Actress at the Italian Golden Globes.
She was awarded the Shooting Stars Awards Best European Talent during the 66th Berlin International Film Festival. Her turn in the feature film La Ragazza del Mondo (aka Worldly Girl), earned several recognitions including the “Premio Pasinetti” (the National guild of Film critics’ award) as Best Actress.
